Yes, a 5 star review for Dennys. Our waitress was very nice if not overly friendly (she sat down in the adjoining booth to take our order). Our food was excellent breakfast food, cooked perfectly and a load of it for a very affordable price. It's Denny's, the brunt of many movie jokes, and a great experience if you've never been. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time, well plated, clean booths and rest rooms, plentiful parking outside, couldn't have asked for better for a fast food breakfast diner chain!!!!

** DELICIOUS** I got lucky! Fresh pot of coffee. No line. And the new Sticky Bun French Toast is fricken amazing!!!!! Server was very attentive. This was not an average Denny's experience. Like I said - I got lucky tonight :)

Unbelievably low standards. Came in with a party of 4, all our food was cold. Sent back my burger, which was covered in grease from the bread to the lettuce, tomatoes, and the pickles that I didn't want on my burger. We could hear the chef curse out the wait staff from the back declaring "OH NO, THIS AINT MY F***ING FAULT. I never have heard a cook scream like this person. Stay away!

This is the worst Denny's ever! I feel for the customer service personnel working there. However, the location is not a good location if you're not used to the area. Everything seems very dreary and dark. Its definitely different from the norm. Once the food arrived, I decided to check the food before running out as our group of 5 suggest we do. During the check we discovered the avocado not fresh at all, the toast was cut with the same knife as the avocado (with clear evidence shown all over the toast), the pancakes tossed into the same space as 3 scrambled eggs with cheese, and all other side items. This made no sense to me and the presentation was not appealing at all. Ultimately, we just wanted to get out of there. It took a total of 27 minutes for a to go order along with an additional 11 minutes to replace the toast. I will not recommend this location to anyone. I prefer to go across town away from this location in order to enjoy the service I know Denny's can provide.

We experienced something.... we are white so you can't call it discrimination because white people can't complain they just have to shut up and put up with it. So we were the only white people in Dennys and waited 45 minutes to get cold food while people who were sat after us were nearly done with their hot food. Then our server asked do you want to put a tip on your bill? How much? and stood over my friend while he gave her 20%. I asked the server what she thought was fair for cold food delivered 45 minutes after an order and she walked away. NEVER AGAIN DENNYS, there are other options and if Dennys is ok with treating people differently based on their race I will go elsewhere.

Ive been here quite a few times and giving them the benefit of the doubt because they were always my last option. I've always had to call the manager. They are just lacking. Something is always missing whether off my plate or with the service I am left u satisfied and I'm no way picky at all.

WORST SERVICE EVER! Came here at about 11pm one night on a Saturday (party of 4) and had the worst Dennys experience ever. They only had 2 waiters for the entire place and some of our order actually never came out (we didn't pay for it). We were there for 2 hours.....

Terrible food and terrible service. Only three tables when we arrived and I couldn't be more dissatisfied. The only good thing about the Lumberjack slam I had was the eggs. The eggs were cooked perfect. The rye toast that I had came out warmed not toasted and the bread was flattened (smashed) the toast had one spot on it that was buttered. The bacon was cold and very hard and not in a crispy way. The sausage appeared to be deep fried, and the ham while looking good upon delivery once turned over I found it was burnt. The pancakes had a good flavor but were cold as was the syrup. Server never came to check on quality of food. Had to flag down another server to get coffee refill

Typical Dennys food but the service is terrible. The place is never busy but the service always takes forever and the staff is not friendly. They just have no personality at all.

This particular Denny's on Powerline and Oakland Park Boulevard (next door to Lowe's) is not one of the smartest places to eat. Unlike the more "upscale" Denny's at Commercial and Federal Highway, this particular Denny's is in a far less desirable area in Oakland Park. Nonetheless, we popped on in simply because we were starving and had to go to Sherwin Williams (across the street) to pick up some paint. This Denny's is fairly darkened on the inside, and not the cleanest as far as carpet and tables goes. Still, though, it's got your typical Denny's menu as you'd find at any other sister Denny's. Service was very slow, but polite; food was exactly what you'd get from any other Denny's, including the "upscale" one in Coral Ridge. After breakfast, stepping out of the restaurant, we were hit with the usual parade of Powerline vagabonds and riff-raff....

Mold growing on the ceiling. Filthy carpets. Waitress asked if I wanted spiced fries. I said yes, she forgot them. Took 20m to get a cup of coffee, good coffee when it came. Left the tomato off of my sandwich and compared to other denny's it had almost no meat on it, but it was still yummy. (Super bird) The fries tasted and looked old. My wifes meal was delicious however and thus the two stars rather than 1 Waitress took half an hour to check on us, asked if we wanted more coffee and forgot it. She only had five tables. She seemed not to want to be there. Seems like they are cutting corners to try to save slumping business.

After a tough 30-40 minutes, following Yelp reviews into a nasty catfish house on Andrews and a stuffy Southern restaurant in Wilton Manners, so we walked on both ( Prior to today, we have only walked out of one restaurant once in 10 yrs) We were so happy to get to the safety of the known of a Denny's. They were very busy, and service was a little less than I am used to. Marge, an older waitress was seated, eating at a nearby table. When she saw that we needed refills on our drinks and some silverware, she got up and got both! That was a pleasant surprise! But the food was better than average! Of course, with a chain, they serve you the same food the world over, but HOW they serve it varies. I have the Western Burger with Hash Browns. I think it holds up well with the independent burger places. Thanks Denny's We Needed That!!!!!

too bad i cant give it 0 stars. cold coffee, food overcooked, poor slow service. it isnt like they were too busy or anything, i was one of three diners in the whole place. i travel a lot, this was the 7th day of my current trip, and this was the worst breakfast i had had. that says a lot snce i also have to compare it against those motel breakfasts that are generally mediocre at best.

This place was hoping on a late Friday night. Deborah our waitress was excellent. Food was great. Given the number of people who also decided to have a late dinner we waited a while for our food but it was excellent. Hard to beat the pulled barbecue chicken and the always enjoyable Denny's breakfast. Will be back anytime we are visiting the area.

I went there for a late dinner a couple of weeks ago. Service was really slow, and the restaurant seemed understaffed. The food is typically Denny's food -- nothing special, but reliable. What is not reliable is the service. Do not go if you think you can have a quick meal and leave. I had to wait at least 20 minutes for someone to take my order, another 20 minutes for food, and another 20 to get my check. I also had to keep waving around to find someone to give me the FREE SODA REFILLS THAT ARE MY GOD-GIVEN RIGHT!!!!
